Thanksgiving Weekend Sum-up

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 29, 2009, 5:37 PM

Ah! Such a good weekend! I'm sad to see it go so fast.
Thanksgiving day was spent mostly with my sister, my mother, and her boyfriend- who came to visit us for the week. Instead of slaving over Thanksgiving dinner-planning, we decided to go for the less traditional approach and eat at Luby's. (Non-traditional yet delicious :D)

The rest of the weekend was spent visiting the Museum of South-Texan History (I had never gone there before, so it was really interesting), and going to the movies (oh yea!!)
My mother's boyfriend wanted to persuade all of us to go see 2012, but my sister and I wanted to go see New Moon. So in the end, we all agreed to go and watch A Christmas Carol in 3D. I have to say, that movie was SUPER COOL! I wasn't expecting the effects to be so good, so I was just blown away when I saw it.
Another movie we went to see was Old Dogs. After getting out of A Christmas Carol, we still had a knack to go see another moivie (but honestly, I didn't feel like watching 2012), see we agreed again and went to see this one. I wasn't expecting much, but this was one funny movie! I actually burst out laughing (several times XD!)
Robbin William + John Travolta = win. Again, I consider this a high point movie.

Finally, yesterday night actually, my sister and I went to see New Moon. I really liked it, but I couldn't help but laugh each time the other girls in the audience swooned and wolf-whistled (yes, wolf-whistled) at seeing either Taylor Lautner or Rob Patterson shirtless. I was totally humored by their reactions, and very suprised that some of them barked out comments throught the movie, such as
(in a scene where Bella tell Jacob he is "kinda beautiful") "He's not beautiful, he's buenisimo!( he's really FINE!)", or "sweet daddy!", or others of similar category. Haha, they were really into it. X)

Well, that's where my weekend was spent... checking up the latest flicks. I'm still not in favor of seeing 2012, but I am interested in seeing Avatar, which is releasing into theaters on December the 18th. I saw the previews, and I have to say, it looks promising.

Well, that sums it up for now. I'm gonna spent the last bit of this holiday weekend preparing for tomorrow -and watching a few rented DVD's while I'm at it ;p.

Laters ya'll. :)

I'm rooting for Wasi in the contest :'D
let's hope Darren and Wasi don't have to go against each other. It would break my heart xD;;

Well, a few of his works. The Grapes of Wrath, The Pearl, and Of Mice and Men were my favorites. Especially the Grapes of Wrath. :)
